WHAT ABOUT PACT’S CLOTHING?

Where Is Pact’s Clothing Made?

India.

What Materials Are In Pact’s Clothing?

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton; rPET; recycled nylon; Wool; Linen; Elastane.

WHAT ABOUT PACT’S ETHICS?

Ethics, Pricing and Charity Work?

Is Pact Ethical?

Yes. Pact is primarily focusing on organic cotton and Fairtrade certified production. Their packaging is now fully recyclable/biodegradable. They also claim to run their business on solar-powered server farms. They provide a link to their ‘Green Story’ Impact Assessment report. But some information about where exactly they source their fabrics is missing. There is little detail about third-party involvement that certify their GOTS and Fairtrade efforts.

Yet, it is clear that they have made many decisions and changes over the recent years that show their efforts to be a more transparent ethical and sustainable business. For instance they have now partnered with an eco-tech company that allows their shoppers to offset the carbon footprint of their shipments (no details on said eco-tech company though, unfortunately).

Is Pact Expensive?

Prices range from 14 USD for a 2-pack pair of socks, to 125 USD for an organic cotton cardigan.

Is Pact Involved with Charities?

Yes, they have partnered with Give Back Box, providing an easy way to ship and donate pre-loved items of clothing. They also recently donated $25,000 to the Whole Planet Foundation’s ‘Poverty is Unnecessary’ Project; and linked with the Good Textiles Foundation.
